Designer recommendations on color:

  • It is shown in Brownstone, which is a perfect mid-range brown. For a deeper look, go with Pietra Nuova; this stain has a bit more black in the mix and stands out nicely against a green backdrop. The Aged Limestone is also a great consideration; it is lighter than the other two brown stains and has more yellow. Keep in mind that all these stains will age naturally over time and give way to a very nice aged patina.

Fun Fact: Faux Bois is a French sculpture technique that uses a material, in this case, cast stone, to create the look of wood or wood grains. This technique is great for creating a rustic look inside the home, and in the garden the Faux Bois pieces appear to be a part of the landscape.

In winter, all benches, table legs, and statuary should be raised off the ground so they do not freeze to the surface.

Items with pool water areas should be wrapped with burlap or any absorbent material (an old blanket or towel) and then wrapped with dark plastic, ensuring that water does not accumulate and freeze.

  • Color variations will occur and are part of the unique quality of the fountain.
