1936 Landscape Design Grows In New Orleans

In 1936, three artists designed and oversaw the construction of the Botanical Garden at City Park in New Orleans, LA.  Architect Richard Koch, Landscaper William Wierdorn, and sculptor Enrique Alferez designed the garden in an Art Deco style.  This was the first public garden in New Orleans.

Today, the New Orleans Botanical Garden is a place to find inspiring garden decor, beautiful garden fountains, urns, and native plants to Louisiana.
