Nice gate but hard to assemble.

This is my second moongate as my first was damaged by a falling tree. It looks like but it is hard to assemble. It certainly takes two people and then it is hard. The biggest issue is attaching the two arms of the gate to the base plates. The holes in the arms do not completely line up with the holes in the base plate. I was only able to set 12 out of 16 screws into the baseplate. Fortunately, that seems to be enough to install the gate. On my first gate I had to order a second baseplate to get one that would align with the arms. Looks like after a few years the problems of mismatched arms and baseplates has not been solved.

Just what I wanted

The gates are fairly easy to assemble although we did have to drill a few holes. You’ll definitely need more than one person to assemble, but beautiful once they are up.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE 16 LARGE BOLTS ARE THREADED INTO THE BASE PLATES.

Measurements for Medium Arch:

84-inch tall in the center, 89-inch wide, 20-inch front to back, 47 ½-inch outside across the base, 40-inch inside.
Includes 4 x 18" ground spikes to anchor base plates.
Weighs approximately 70 lbs.

Measurements for Large Arch:

108 inches tall in the center, 120 inches wide, 20 inches front to back, 75 inches outside across the base, and 67 inches inside at the base.
Includes 4 x 18" ground spikes to anchor base plates.
Weighs approximately 86 lbs.
