The Soil Scoop is the not just another hand trowel.  The soil scoop acts like an extension of your hand because you dig with the pointed end down.  This motion reduces the bending stress on your wrist when gardening.

Our unique general purpose digging tool has a patented spoon-shaped blade with a sharply pointed tip and serrated edges. By using this tool with the point down — opposite of how a trowel is held — it works as a natural extension of your hand. Dig holes, make furrows, weed, cut roots, even open soil bags. Also great for moving soil between pots. Blade is molded into an ergonomically designed handle, overlaid with colored grip material. Strong and comfortable.
