Le Chene Vert pottery perpetuates the tradition of horticultural Anduze pots and its hancrafted production adorns the famous gardens of the Castle Versailles. The architect in charge of recent restoring work in the gardens originally designed by Le NĂ´tre, incidentally found a fragment of an Anduze vase dated 1804 and signed Gautier.
This discovery contributed to putting these world famous pots forward on the scene once again and Le Chene Vert pottery was given the delicate responsibility of handcrafting them.
Chene Vert duplicates Anduze vases according to the sixteenth century ancestors aesthetic aspirations who would select them to adorn their noble residence gardens. Striving for authenticity, each manufacturing step is treated with great care. From the clay modelling to the wreath setting in between three stamped emblems guaranteeing the vases origins with the carefully carved upper thread design distinguishing the genuine hand made traditional Anduze vase. Each Le Chene Verte piece comes with a certificate of authenticity. |
