Guy Wolff, a master potter from Litchfield, CT specializes in breathing new life back into historical pottery designs. As was the custom long ago, Guy Wolff & Co. pots are sold by the wet weight of the clay, which is stamped into every piece along with the date and brand mark.

The Guy Wolff Bell Jar is also known as a ''Rhubarb Forcer'' by some folks. Traditionally used for giving plants shelter and warmth in early spring to ''force'' them to grow faster, and to deprive plants like sea-kale of light so they'll blanch. Sea-kale is a strong-rooted perennial, which is highly prized as a delicacy when blanched. Stamped with the year of production, making these collector's items and great heirlooms to be passed down to future generations.
